Adobe Sign offer simple eSignatures by default – quick, but easily forged and unsuitable for regulated sectors like healthcare, education or finance.
With eSign, advanced is the default. Every signature is verified and backed by a full audit trail, meeting eIDAS, GDPR, FCA and NHS requirements without extra setup or cost.
No hidden fees. No surprises. eSign offers clear, scalable pricing that works for teams of any size, whether you’re just getting started or managing high-volume workflows.
With E-Sign, you can be certain that every bit of your data is stored in secure, ISO 27001-certified UK data centres for full compliance with GDPR, data sovereignty, and regulator requirements.

*Advanced e-signatures are legally binding because the system uniquely links them to the signer, identifies the signer, and ensures only the signer can use them. Any changes to the signature can also be detected.
Adobe Sign offers simple e-signatures as standard on their main plans, only providing more secure and legally binding advanced signatures to enterprise customers at a much higher cost compared to E-Sign.
Simple e-signatures may not comply with specific industry requirements, such as those in the highly regulated financial and healthcare sectors. This is because additional security and identity verification measures, such as ensuring the signature is uniquely linked to the signer, may be required, and simple signatures provided by Adobe do not meet these criteria.
Advanced e-signatures, however, meet the specific requirements set out by the eIDAS regulation, including accurate identification of the signer and the signature being uniquely linked to them, as well as being tamper-proof so that any changes made to the signature are detectable.
In addition to secure and legally binding advanced e-signatures, E-Sign has several key features that distinguish our product from Adobe Sign, including:
Whilst both E-Sign and Adobe Sign have e-signature capabilities, the compliance, security, and target customers for the products are quite different.
E-Sign provides advanced e-signatures as standard across all plans and is a specifically designed electronic signature solution for businesses. With full compliance, legal validity, and a wide range of features, E-Sign is targeted at businesses looking for secure digital signatures across all industries.
Adobe is a PDF platform with e-signature capabilities as an extra feature to some plans. It offers basic functionality that is typically best suited to individuals or smaller teams that don’t regularly send out official or sensitive documents that require more robust security or identity verification measures.
When looking at E-Sign’s Business plan and Adobe Sign Pro, on average, E-Sign is slightly more expensive. However, Adobe offers considerably less than E-Sign in terms of its e-signature features, security, legal validity, and compliance. Therefore, E-Sign provides more value for money in terms of the type of signature and range of features provided.
Adobe does offer advanced e-signatures on their enterprise license, which is the equivalent product to E-Sign, but this comes with custom pricing that is likely to be significantly more expensive than E-Sign.
